Join a leading industry provider making a real impact on New Zealanders! Our Wellington-based client is looking for a Payroll Advisor to join their established team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering an internal secondment.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide efficient, quality and proactive payroll processing by ensuring all processes and activities are completed accurately and within the agreed timeframes of audit and legislative requirements. The role will also contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes.
- Manage payroll processing, including adjustments, terminations, and third-party payments.
- Ensure accurate pay runs, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Address payroll queries and provide guidance to staff.
- Collaborate with People & Culture and Finance teams.
- Identify payroll process improvements.
- Stay updated on payroll trends and ensure compliance with regulations.
