Maintenance Electrician
Auckland – Night shift

Your Impact
As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll maintain machinery and equipment focusing on enhancing plant processes and contributing to the improvement of product quality. This pivotal role supports our night shift operations from 6pm to 6am, Monday through Sunday. The schedule follows a 2x2x3 shift pattern, involving 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis. Flexibility is key, with a willingness to work overtime. Any variations with shift work will be communicated in advance. This role will also focus on:

  • Completing planned and unplanned maintenance schedules and breakdown service requirements
  • Minimising the operational downtime and waste of site plant and equipment
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service and developing strong relationships with stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Resolving equipment reliability issues and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Taking the initiative to identify and develop improvement opportunities
  • Utilising sound computer skills with the ability to produce accurate and timely reports
  • Adherence to established document handling processes


About You

  • Experience as a Maintenance Fitter or Electrician (dual highly desirable)
  • Valid electrical trade qualification
  • Valid Electrical Registration and a current practising license with EWRB
  • Significant experience in a continuous process industrial electrical environment working with continuous high-speed processing and packaging equipment
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs) with extensive electrical fault-finding skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AS/NZ 3000, the Electrical Safety Act, the Electrical Safety Regulation and the Electrical Code of Practice
  • Awareness of OHS Legislation and processes
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
