About the Role

In this hands-on role you will lead the ongoing development of our health and safety systems and practices across our 17 hotels. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and external bodies to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and embed a safety-first mindset throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Culture – Champion a culture where health and safety is front of mind. Support and guide leaders to embed safe behaviours and practices.
  • Systems & Compliance – Enhance and maintain H&S systems, policies, and procedures to meet legislative requirements and industry standards.
  • Training & Capability Building – Deliver engaging training and provide expert advice that empowers teams to take ownership of safety.
  • Risk & Reporting – Conduct audits, analyse safety data, and proactively identify and manage risks.
  • Collaboration & Influence – Work closely with senior leaders, GMs, and operational teams to lead safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement.


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience designing and implementing company-wide safety strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A collaborative, coaching-focused leadership style.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose safety solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level safety management software and recognised H&S frameworks.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, retail, distribution, or a similar operational environment preferred.

This is a full-time position based at our Support Office in Auckland, with regular travel required to our hotel locations across New Zealand. Annual Salary: $150,000 – $160,000, plus a vehicle.
