The Role

Based at our Highbrook branch as Day Shift supervisor, you will require a strong desire to maintain and improve the efficient operations of the depot. You will ensure all freight is scanned, and available to meet all cycle times, with outbound freight correctly sorted and packed appropriately. You will have excellent verbal and written communication to effectively lead a team of freight handlers.

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday 10:00am - 7:30pm.

You will also supervise all team members in the operations area, including:

  • Rostering
  • Training
  • Providing resource
  • Monitoring of staff performance and behaviour
  • Assist with loading/unloading of inbound tracks and containers
  • Providing assurance that the depot is set up and standards of order and organisation are maintained


Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is advantageous but not essential
  • Great time communication and time management
  • Monitor and improve KPI’s
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a changing fast paced environment
  • Foster positive working relationships with team members
  • Strong focus on Health and Safety
  • Sound knowledge of local and regional NZ geography
  • Able to lift heavy items up to 25kgs.
