This leading consultancy, a past Employer of the Year are on the hunt for a Senior Structural Draftsperson to lead their drafting team in West Auckland.

This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced drafter with 10+ years of New Zealand-based experience.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, robust technical knowledge and leadership capability.

You’ll manage and deliver drafting projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver exceptional designs and support our increasing workload.

The Role

  • Lead and mentor the drafting team, ensuring work aligns with industry and internal standards.
  • Produce detailed structural drawings and models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality structural design packages.
  • Oversee drafting workloads, ensuring accurate, timely project delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to enhance their drafting delivery processes.


About You

  • 10+ years of structural drafting experience within New Zealand.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant BIM tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
  • Dedicated, dependable and well-considered, with good communication and good character.
