Whāre Koa Māngere Community House is a treasured community space and is part of the Māngere Community Hub, which also includes the Māngere Arts Centre - Ngā Tohu o Uenuku and Māngere Town Centre Library. Whāre Koa is home to an exciting range of arts and community programmes and events that engages diverse groups. We offer programmed and community-led activities as well as venue for hire spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and creative Māngere Community Hub team and add your warmth and energy to the vibrant and inviting environment. Whāre Koa is a thriving community place that has been serving the Mangere-Otahuhu community for over 50 years.
This is a permanent role, 38 hours per week, it requires flexibility to work some weeknights and a Saturday.
Day to day, your responsibilities will be to:
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure venues are safe, functional and welcoming places;
- Raise the profile and reputation of Whāre Koa;
- Welcome visitors and provide information and assistance to ensure the visitor experience is rewarding and enjoyable, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the Auckland Council services;
- Support in the operational management, administration and performance of community facilities.
