Ko tō tūranga – your role
We’re seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise DevOps System & Process team. Reporting to the Enterprise DevOps Systems Manager, you'll be a highly motivated and technically confident individual, with excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as a strong desire for improvement and self-development.


As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be accountable for managing, maintaining, upgrading and enhancing a secure and highly available framework of systems, that are central to the management and monitoring of our largest Enterprise and Government customers.


Within the role you'll gain experience carrying out day to day duties and over time you'll have the opportunity to progress into other functions, such as designing, implementing and enhancing services for internal and external customers.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Carry out specific programs of work, assigned to you by the Enterprise Systems Manager.
  • Provide timely and efficient operational support by managing incidents, service requests, and changes through an ITSM platform.
  • Analyse business requirements and effectively translate them into scalable, robust technical solutions that meet strategic objectives.
  • Develop as-built documentation and SOPs on solutions built.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and integration of systems within business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems, network connectivity, system integration and security issues.


Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in web development, with a solid understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks and best practices.
  • Proven experience as a systems administrator, network administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Syslog.
  • Knowledge of APIs and integrating systems using APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Nautobot or other Network Source of Truth (NSoT) technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with networking systems, although not required, is a bonus.
  • Relevant qualification in computer science, information technology, or related field is a bonus, but not a requirement.
  • You must have Permeant Residency to be considered for this role due to customer requirements.
