About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Come and join our friendly team in Sunny Taranaki! We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals. You will be reporting to the Team Coach and will work with a friendly and culturally diverse team of Registered Health Professionals and Support Workers; all with a common purpose of supporting people experiencing mental distress.
This is a permanent, part-time position based in New Plymouth. You will be working on a rotating roster as follows;
Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday, 11pm – 7:30am
Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday, 11pm – 7:30pm
Responsibilities include:
Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
Foster positive change for a more positive life
Provide medication support for our people
You | Mōu
NZ full driver’s licence
Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
Support Worker experience or similar
Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
