The role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join the team based in Brightwater. Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the manufacturing and electrical teams, leading a team of 10.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Production planning and coordination
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Coordination with Procurement team
- Drawing review
Operational management
- Allocation of resourcing including requesting of outsourcing when required
- Shift management including assigning tasks
- Oversight of production equipment and maintenance to minimize downtime
Quality control
- Strict monitoring of and adherence to quality control processes and procedures
- Investigation of and recommendations for the correction of any product defects or rework
Cost management
- Work alongside the Operations Manager to monitor production costs, reduce waste and increase efficiency
Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:
- Minimum of trade certificate
- At least 5 years' in a manufacturing management role
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 products
- Experience in ERP software is preferred but not essential
- Leadership
- The successful applicant will lead, train and mentor the Production team, and identify any skill gaps
- Foster a collaborative, positive working environment that encourages productivity and innovation
- Ability to consistently deliver results that drive towards the company goals
- Consider the wider company and Group goals, not just the Production team.
