Job Description

  • 6-month Fixed Term, part time role - 20hrs week

About the role
Our village team are looking for an experienced cleaner to join them on a 6-month Fixed Term contract to maintain the cleanliness of the communal areas and also work 2 shifts per week as a Kitchen Hand at Dannemora Gardens, East Auckland. This is a 6-month Fixed Term, part time 'DUAL' role position, working 20 hours as follows:

Cleaner = Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday - 6:30am to 10:30am = 12hrs week.

Kitchen hand = Friday and Sunday - 4pm to 8pm = 8 hrs. week

Some of the great things you will be doing as a cleaner:

  • Cleaning common areas
  • Working and interacting with residents and other staff
  • Maintaining health and safety standards


Some of the great things you will be doing as a Kitchen hand:

  • Assist Chefs in food preparation and kitchen duties
  • Responsible for clearing tables and putting dishes and cutlery through the dishwasher.
  • Responsible for cleaning kitchen and dining areas after meals.


About you
We are looking for someone with the right attitude, with excellent communication skills and who can work as part of a team to provide a great level of care and maintenance in ensuring our residents, visitors and staff come to a clean, welcoming environment.

  • Previous cleaning experience is highly beneficial.
