Function Coordinator & Office Administrator

Location: Linwood Combined Rugby & Sports Club (LCRSC), Christchurch

Hours: 25-30 hours per week (including weekends)

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for event coordination? Do you thrive in a dynamic, sports-focused environment? Linwood Combined Rugby & Sports Club (LCRSC) is looking for a Function Coordinator & Office Administrator to join our team.

About Us

LCRSC is home to Linwood Rugby Club, Coastal Spirit Football, Richmond Keas Softball, Linwood Squash Club, and a gymnasium. We are a community-driven organisation that provides sporting and social opportunities for our members.

The Role

This is a diverse role where you’ll oversee the daily operations of our front office while managing functions, events, and bar operations. You’ll work closely with club members, staff, and external partners to ensure smooth operations and an excellent experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Administration – Manage front office operations, maintain databases, coordinate team registrations, and oversee club communications, including social media and newsletters.
  • Event Coordination – Promote and manage club room bookings, organise logistics, hire equipment, and ensure seamless event execution.
  • Bar Management – Oversee bar operations, recruit and roster staff, manage stock levels, reconcile takings, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Member & Sponsor Relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with club members, sponsors, and governing bodies.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in administration and event management
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in computer systems and social media platforms
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • A Duty Manager’s Licence (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Passion for working in a sporting and community-focused environment
