Position Overview
About the Role
Massey University is seeking a Professional Clinician or Senior Professional Clinician to support the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching (Primary) within our Initial Teacher Education Programme. This full-time, ongoing role is based at our Manawatū campus, where you will contribute to teacher education, mentoring, and curriculum development while working closely with students and partner schools.
With a salary range of $81,172 – $143,949 (based on skills and experience), this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on future educators while enjoying the benefits of a Tiriti-led, forward-thinking institution. You will play a key role in modelling exemplary teaching practice in face-to-face and digitally enhanced learning environments, as well as building partnerships with schools, education agencies, and teacher networks.
About You
You are a passionate educator with experience in primary education and teacher training. You bring strong curriculum knowledge, expertise in blended learning, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Requirements for the Role
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree or higher).
- Current New Zealand teacher registration (or eligibility for registration).
- Recent experience in primary teaching and/or teacher education.
- Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum.
- Expertise in digital and blended learning environments.
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting Māori and diverse student communities.
- Preferred areas of expertise: Social sciences, learning languages, Hauora/PE – please state your areas of curriculum expertise in your application.
