About the Role
As a Caregiver at BestStart Taita, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our tamariki. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, committed to fostering a love for learning, creativity, and exploration in every child.
You’ll report to the Centre Manager and work alongside a close-knit, supportive team of teachers. This permanent role is for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working primarily with our over-two-year-old tamariki.
What You’ll Do
- Provide quality care and meaningful learning experiences for our tamariki
- Support centre-wide activities and foster strong relationships with children and whānau
- Champion teamwork and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture
- Participate in activities across all classrooms and assist with break cover as needed
- Support the day-to-day operations of the centre
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone with a genuine passion for working with young children, particularly infants and toddlers. While an ECE qualification isn’t required, previous experience working with children under five is essential. You’ll bring a natural warmth, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow as part of a dynamic team.
