Job Description

Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant is looking for experienced hospitality professionals – Front of House Supervisors.

Mudbrick is a world-renowned luxury destination, offering a range of hospitality experiences. Our restaurant is one of the largest high end hospitality offerings in Auckland.

At Mudbrick, we produce award-winning food, wines and enjoy one of the most spectacular views in the World. Picture this - vineyards rolling down towards the sparkling Hauraki Gulf. In the distance Rangitoto and Auckland's sky tower pierce the year-round sunsets.

Front of House (FOH) Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of service shifts, including lunch, dinner, and private events. They must embody true hospitality, demonstrating versatility and professionalism across all areas of restaurant service.

The Technical Bits:
• 2 years’ experience in a similar high-volume, high end restaurant OR NZ Register Level 2 or 3 qualification and 1 year relevant experience
• Applicants with a current LCQ certificate preferred
• Must have an interest in wine

Scope of the role:

Food & Beverage Service
• Greet customers as they arrive & seat them in a timely manner with menu
• Handle own section of tables
• Answer any food & beverage questions from guest
• Serve wine & beverages to a fine dining standard
• Making cocktails, coffees to a high standard
• keeping bar fridge and wine store areas, glass shelves, spirit bottles etc clean, wiped down, dusted, swept

Supervising duties:
• Arrange daily seating plan
• Host pre shift meeting with servers & bartenders
• Clear in-service communication with back of house

Location and hours:
• Location of work 126 Church Bay Road, Oneroa, Waiheke Island
• Must be located or willing to relocate to Waiheke Island
• The business is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner
• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Full-time permanent position
