ECE Kaiako - Bucklands Beach Kindergarten (20 hours)

Now, we are looking for an enthusiastic ECE Kaiako to join our team!

About the Role

As a permanent part-time Kaiako (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday), you will:

  • Work alongside a collaborative, supportive team
  • Foster a rich multicultural learning environment guided by Te Whāriki
  • Promote a play-based learning approach, empowering tamariki to lead their learning
  • Build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the wider community
  • Incorporate sustainability and respect for the environment into daily teaching


Who We Are Looking For

  • A qualified, registered teacher with a current practising certificate and first aide
  • Passionate about child-led, play-based learning
  • A strong relationship builder, fostering connections with tamariki and whānau
  • Committed to bicultural practice and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Skilled in planning, assessment, and documentation
  • Confident in using ICT as a teaching tool to enhance learning
  • Enthusiastic about sustainability, embedding it into daily teaching
  • A true team player, ready to contribute and collaborate
