He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council's Building Consents provide local and regional building consenting services to ensure Auckland has safe and sustainable buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for highly skilled, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our Regulatory Support Advisor team. As an Advisor you will be responsible driving system enhancements, ensuring quality assurance, delivering project improvements, and rolling out training to the wider team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's operations and contribute to our ongoing success.

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise system enhancements and project improvements.
  • Conducting thorough quality assurance testing to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of system enhancements.
  • Developing and delivering training to support the wider teams on new processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure Process Manager guides accurately reflect current processes and best practices.

He kōrero mōu: About you
With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in business, systems or process management preferred, ideally in a regulatory environment, you'll be in your element dealing with the various customer queries that come through

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable as well as strong interpersonal skills. Having previous building industry experience would be advantageous.

We will be looking for specific experience with:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in training and/ or Team management
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in business, systems or process management preferred, ideally in a regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and translation of policy into operational process.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards concerning local government operations
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint Outlook/ Process Manager/SAP/Salesforce)
