The role of Customer Service Representative IT within the Staff Service Centre at The University of Auckland is a pivotal position that will give you unrivalled exposure to the breadth of the University’s operations and successes.

  • Deliver excellent quality service, assistance and precise topical information to the University’s staff and other stakeholders
  • Provide accurate information every time, and then ensuring all service requests are documented to a high standard
  • Work within and contribute to our enthusiastic and energetic team spirit


This is a permanent role and is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, with a salary range of $54,000- $55,000.

Although experience within a similar environment would be beneficial, it is more important that you bring a great attitude, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and deliver an exceptional experience to our customers. You will be calm under pressure and able to work in a fast-paced, volume-driven environment.

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Have experience in a Call Centre, Help Desk or Customer facing role including troubleshooting
  • Answer customer queries and provide accurate information every time, and then ensuring all service requests are documented to a high standard
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with great listening and interpretation skills.
  • Be a team player.
  • Advantageous to have experience in ServiceNow, ServiceCloud or Maximo
  • Ideal if you have had some exposure to Office365, Exchange, Active Directory


This position is rostered. Our standard business hours are between 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. We work 7.5 hours a day and start times will vary to accommodate operational demands.
