New Zealand Police (NZ Police) is the lead agency responsible for preventing crime and enhancing community safety. New Zealand Police (NZ Police) is working with the community to make New Zealanders be safe and feel safe. With over 15,000 staff, we provide policing services 24 hours a day, every day.
The Public Safety Network (PSN) Programme is responsible for implementing new critical communications and application capability which underpin the delivery of essential services by multiple agencies. The programme will be replacing Emergency Services critical radio networks with modern broadband communications to better support and deliver frontline services. The scope of this project is to complete the fit out and installation of new Digital Radio technology into all Police fleet and Police Stations.
Coordinator – Logistics Delivery will report to the Logistics Delivery Lead who is based in Wellington with the PSN Programme and Fleet Services Group.
You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day movements of vehicles by following the logistics schedule and tracking the vehicle and station installations. This position will support administrative duties for the PSN delivery nationally and travel will be required. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with demonstrated record keeping, relationship management and continuous improvement mindset.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will need to be based in Auckland to have the ability to be on the installation sites.
Key Accountabilities:
- Follow the logistics plan to schedule vehicles movements to/from multiple sites to enable hardware installation by third parties.
- Coordinate with all vendors and service providers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Updating of backend asset management systems
- Decision Making – Having the critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sound decisions.
- Partnership / Stakeholders – Experienced in engaging and building relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Individually Responsible and Accountable – Being accountable for your performance and taking responsibility for your contribution and development.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
