Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Records Management Consultant to join our team. As a senior member of the team, you will work with data owners, record owners, system owners, business and technical subject matter experts to understand, analyse, document, and deliver solutions for Data and Records Management implementation. This will include both engagements across business teams and technology teams, with a focus on engaging, educating and developing the organisational muscle that allows us to succeed into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement with Business Divisions (BUs) to identify gaps in both capability and capacity to implement and operationalise Data and Records Management.
  • Identify and propose solutions for remediating gaps in Data and Records Management capability.
  • Participate in and present to various forums to socialise the outcomes of analysis and the proposed solutions.
  • Work across various Tribes and Platforms to ensure that remediation work is appropriately backlogged, funded, and prioritised.
  • Drive projects and programs of work to understand the impact of system and process changes.
  • Work with members of the Data Management Office to deliver initiatives that will enhance our policy, process, governance, tools, and community.
  • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of the ASB Data and Records Management Frameworks, including presenting and education as required.
  • Drive the delivery and operation of timely, right-first-time solutions for Records and Data Management.
  • Lead the ongoing education of the ASB community in matters relating to Records Management (primarily) and Data Management.
  • Support the effective function and operation of the Data Management Office.
  • Deliver accurate and easy-to-follow policy, procedures, and best-practice guidelines.

  • Experience in Records and/or Data Management in a financial organisation.
  • People-centered approach with the ability to support and educate stakeholders about data management and records management concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills - experience working with large, complex, and evolving processes and systems is mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills - the ability to ask questions and interpret beyond the obvious.
  • A flexible and collaborative working style.
  • Business Analysis skills allowing you to understand the cause and effect of change.
  • Outcome-oriented, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer-focused results.
  • A hunger for knowledge and a learning-oriented mindset.
