Responsibilities will include
This is a senior leadership role with a strategic focus on marketing and sales operations, and leadership of a large team of Sales Managers and marketing professionals.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Strategic planning to grow group new and used vehicle sales operations
- Oversight and operational leadership of the group marketing team
- Directing marketing activities to meet franchise guidelines and grow the Bayswater brand
- Operational leadership and mentoring of group sales management and sales teams
- Develop policies and procedures to support group sales operations
- Implement "best practice" reporting and KPI measurement within sales operations and across marketing activities
- Strategic planning and operational oversight of vehicle inventories
- Be part of the senior executive team and work with the group's advisory board
- Communicating at a high level with external stakeholders and business partners
The person, background, and skills sought
This new executive role does not fit into a traditional dealership organisational structure. The role incorporates responsibilities for multiple brands and dealerships and requires a fresh, contemporary, and highly strategic thinker.
Suitable applicants must have the following attributes and experience:
- Strategic thinker with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing strategies
- Experience in managing a group of sales and/or marketing professionals
- Ability to innovate and develop new sales pathways
- A minimum of three years of automotive senior management or executive leadership experience. Dealership, corporate vehicle leasing, national distributor backgrounds, and others who are broadly aligned with the motor industry are all invited to apply. Where an affinity with the motor industry can be displayed with the experience sought, we are interested in exploring these applications further
- A sound understanding of the industry's "best practice" benchmarks including financial literacy
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements related to the motor industry
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude and desire to succeed
- Existing industry relationships would be a distinct advantage
