We have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your strong administrative/coordination background into the world of human resources! Supporting a broad range of HR-related tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will use your highly organised and customer-focussed skills to create positive change.
From drafting employment documentation to navigating payroll systems and answering generalist HR queries, you will have the opportunity to support MPI and all we do. With the opportunity to gain huge experience across the broad subject area of human resources, there will be no two days the same. Key responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for the People Hub, responding to queries and requests, and providing guidance based on self-service information and other resources
- Provide administrative and coordination support across a variety of HR tasks and teams
- Draft employment documentation and assist with the onboarding process
- Navigate payroll systems and ensure smooth processing
- Answer general HR queries from employees and provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain a high level of organisation and accuracy while juggling multiple tasks in a busy, customer-facing role
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems

Mōu - About You
Your role will be varied and exciting, with a strong focus on providing excellent support to employees. Your excellent attention to detail and ability to be agile across a wide range of tasks while holding a high customer service ethic is what sets you apart.
You have a background with:
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, in either the public or private sector
- Experience in HR (generalist or otherwise) is a bonus, but not essential
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word

The People Hub Team offers a supportive environment with fantastic collaboration and a genuinely caring team leader. As part of the wider People Operations Team, we work closely with our Payroll and Business Systems Colleagues. The team is Wellington based with an additional staff member based in Auckland. We are diverse, friendly, and work together seamlessly to deliver excellent results for our customers.
