We have the opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join the Technology Operations tīma (team). In this tūranga (role) you will support the Operations Manager in various aspects of technology operations including process improvements, procurement support, operational excellence, financial analysis, and data analysis and reporting.
The Technology Operations tīma facilitates the smooth functioning of BNZ’s Technology Domains through financial planning and management, contract and supplier management oversight, risk practice support and enablement, and other initiatives that assist our domains in meeting the needs of our business stakeholders.
This position can be based in Auckland or Wellington. It is a hybrid tūranga with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.

What are some of the day-to-day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?
- Procurement Support: Work closely with the contract owners in Technology and BNZ's procurement and third-party risk management tīma to support procurement and supplier management activities.
- Financial Analysis: Support the planning and forecasting activities where required, aiding in crucial financial decisions.
- Process Improvement: Play a key tūranga in enhancing our efficiency and maturity across our Technology domains.
- Operational excellence: Work alongside the Operations Manager to standardise processes across Technology domains.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis and generate comprehensive reports to facilitate informed decision making for Technology domains.

- Financial Acumen: Skills and experience in budget planning, forecasting, and financial controls.
