What's the role?
This opportunity is for someone to work regular permanent hours within our brand new Distribution Centre warehouse in East Tamaki. You will be carrying out tasks linked to stock and order management. The Storeperson role is largely one of meeting agreed timelines in terms of the unloading, loading and dispatching of products. The role involves engaging in effective system in inventory management, cycle counts, receiving, storing and dispatching goods in the warehouse and work, health and safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Receipt, store, pick and despatch products
- Load and unload vessels (eg. Trucks and containers)
- Any other reasonable tasks that may require to be done within the warehouse and/or transport function
- Takes ownership of all stock handling, consistently providing excellent (efficient and effective) service that satisfies the customer and benefits the company
- Support in actively assisting operations in inventory discrepancies & cycle count routines
- Pays meticulous attention to stock details (numerical and literal) throughout every stage of the stock cycle (inward bound, in storage and outward bound).
- Employs first class stock handling skills, competently manages the stock cycle from end to end
- Acts as a brand ambassador in interactions with customers and logistics operators ensuring the Fisher & Paykel brand image is upheld at all times.
- Contributes positively to team environment and to the continuous improvement of the function both formally and informally
- Understands Health & Safety matters that relate to your role and manages daily activities to comply with all H&S in Employment Legislation, Regulations and Policies.
- Assigns Health & Safety responsibilities where appropriate to team member
- Participates other warehouse related activities / requirements such as 5s, selected audits, performance meetings and reporting.
