Customer Compliance Specialists within IRS have a unique opportunity to contribute to New Zealand’s international tax programme, focusing on working with customers and their representatives to facilitate international tax compliance domestically and globally. New Customer Compliance Specialists will come with strong analytical, communication and relationship management skills willing to work with taxpayers and their representatives to facilitate international tax compliance.

To be successful in the new position and have a positive impact within the team you will have:

• A curious mindset focused on understanding our customers through highly evolved investigative skills and critical thinking
• Proven ability in reading and analysing financial information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
• Strong relationship management skills
• Keen analytical and critical thinking skills
• General knowledge of tax legislation, especially international tax (or a passion and commitment to learn!)
• A strong work ethic with a can-do attitude, an appreciation for a fast-paced environment and a proven ability to meet deadlines.

These customers include other international tax authorities and organisations, and individuals with offshore interests.
