As a Workforce Analyst you will be responsible for analysing data and actioning daily tasks to optimise the NZ Police Communication Centres workforce. Our aim is to provide an efficient and effective support service to the Emergency and Non-Emergency Communication Centres.
We are looking for someone seeking continuous improvement, with strong analytical skills and who enjoys a task-orientated environment with processes in place. A background in Workforce Management, real-time analyst positions or experience working in either the Emergency or Non-Emergency Centres would be an advantage. You will need to be able to independently, solve problems and be able to complete all work with accuracy. The ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide support, expert advice, and guidance with targeted reporting to our Communication Centres
- Be involved in daily Planning and Logistics
- Have ownership of time critical tasks
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in NZ Police Communication Centre operations.
- Help develop staffing plans and workforce models that align with NZ Police Communication Centre objectives and service level agreements.
- Help develop and maintain scheduling systems and tools that ensure proper staffing levels and compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on workforce performance metrics, including staffing levels, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist with research and analysis to support NZ Police Communication Centre strategic planning and decision-making.
- Recommend and implement agreed process improvements that enhance NZ Police Communication Centre workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $80,295 and $83,973 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
