The Role:
Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Commercial Manager to join their team.
This newly created position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the organisation, providing input into strategy, playing a key role in commercial negotiations, and leading a high-performing team.
You’ll have the autonomy to deliver innovative solutions, foster continuous improvement, and ensure commercial decisions align with wider business objectives.
You will oversee a team spanning pricing, billing, business relationships and regulatory functions. The role includes leading commercial relationships, managing revenue and pricing; and providing strategic insights to support growth in a rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Leadership:
- Lead commercial negotiations with key external parties, ensuring the creation of commercially sound agreements.
- Formulate pricing and revenue strategies aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide market insights on key environmental and macro factors likely to impact strategy, advising on potential risks and opportunities.
- Influence commercial decision-making.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a diverse team, providing clear direction and fostering professional and personal growth.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture, supporting individual and team success.
Pricing & Revenue Management:
- Oversee revenue streams, managing budgets, forecasts, and pricing for the annual billing process.
- Ensure pricing strategies are cost-reflective and aligned with regulatory guidelines while maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Strategic Insights:
- Work closely with the Asset Management team to integrate commercial considerations into strategy, adding rigour to investment decisions through cost-benefit analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and processes to support long-term goals.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Provide leadership on regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with industry requirements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that commercial decisions align with both regulatory and corporate standards.
Project Leadership & PMO Engagement:
- Play a pivotal role in the maturing of the PMO function, adding rigour to project management processes and ensuring alignment with business cases.
- Collaborate with the PMO, finance, and asset management teams to develop efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the business.

Experience:
- 10+ years in finance roles, with a commercial and strategic element.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Proven analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to make carefully considered commercial decisions.
