The Role

The key objective of this role is to manage the efficient flow of freight in and out of the Hawkes Bay branch located at Onekawa, Napier. The work of our operations team is all about ensuring we can pack/unpack and move freight on time, every time, and in the manner, that's expected, so our couriers can do their jobs.

You get logistics, you thrive on a challenge, and you know how to improve the operation through continuous improvement. You're comfortable with systems, reporting results, and the day-to-day operational responsibilities. You know when to get your hands dirty and lead from the front with a focus on quality, delivery, performance, and health and safety - and you never lose sight of the customer experience and ensure we deliver our promise.

Being able to deliver is our culture and to fit in you’ll need to demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • Must be a leader who provides clear direction and motivates their team
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • A sound understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Have a financial focus.
  • Report on and manage KPIs.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Have a forklift licence.
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 25kg) will be required.
