About the role
We are looking for a Café Assistant / Barista's to work at our Waitakere Gardens Village in Henderson, Auckland. You will provide Barista and Café services in our established café. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends while also helping provide a great dining experience!

Shifts:

23 hours a week over 3 days - Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays

Some of the great things you will be doing:

  • Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
  • Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
  • Serving and collecting meals in our café
  • Serving meals to our residents/customers
  • Operating the cash register
  • General cleaning including café equipment and cutlery
  • Additional Kitchen duties as and when required


About you

You will have exceptional customer service skills and can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once. With some barista experience, some things that will support your application include:

  • Previous Cafe and/or Barista experience
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
  • A good command of spoken and written English
  • A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experience
