Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
The role is based in our popular, Award-Winning, Huami Chinese Restaurant which is located in the heart of SkyCity Auckland. It is a full-time 40 hrs minimum per week position with a salary range of $100k - $120K depending on experience. Key tasks include;
• Deliver consistently high quality food offerings
• Actively demonstrate awareness and understanding of Host Responsibility and Health & Safety
• Research and respond to trends in the local and international food industry in consultation with the Executive Chef
• Promotes a customer focused kitchen operation by ensuring that appropriate recruitment and staff training programs are followed and regularly reviewed

Mōu | About You
To be successful you'll be a highly skilled Head Chef with Demonstrated experience in Chinese Cuisine. You'll have the opportunity to lead an exceptional team of culinary professionals, ensuring excellent service, knowledge and passion about Chinese cuisine.
You'll come from a rich background in Chinese cuisine that is traditional yet modern, having worked in high end restaurants. You'll have unparalleled knowledge and the pedigree to create dishes that incorporate the freshest ingredients and the tastiest of flavours.
You'll also have;
• At least 2 years previous experience in high end/5 star a la carte restaurants/hotels
• Legislative requirements - employment relations, health & Safety, food safety
• Experience in menu creation to an industry leading standard
• Demonstrated experience in leadership abilities through engaging and developing others
Not only will you be fluent in English, ideally, you'll also have the ability to speak either Cantonese or Mandarin however this is not a requirement.
