About the role


We are looking for a Casual Night Porter to work in the Bay of Plenty at our Villages in the area. You will join a well-run team ensuring a safe and secure environment for the village and our residents. You'll be responsible for general cleaning, security and completing related administration duties. This is a rewarding role where you make a difference to the lives of our residents who call Metlifecare home.

Some of the great work you will be doing includes:

  • Patrol the village site ensuring a safe environment for our residents
  • Answering emergency call outs and call for assistance from emergency services
  • Assist with night care needs of our residents
  • Provide direction as necessary to residents and visitors
  • Actioning administration duties and general cleaning on the premise


About you


To be successful in this role you'll enjoy fostering and maintaining relationships with our residents, be able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure and have an honest nature.

  • Current First Aid certificate or prepared to get one asap
  • Experience working in security is highly desirable
  • Physically able to support our Residents in any emergency
  • Be super organised and self-motivated
  • Have good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Have impeccable personal presentation
