The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This is a part time position working, Tuesday - Sat 8am – 12pm in Christchurch. There may be the opportunity to talk to the manager about also picking up a Support Worker role at another service.
We’re looking for someone to help keep our complex in tip-top shape, and that’s where you come in! You’ll be responsible for everything from cleaning bathrooms and floors to doing laundry. It’s important to us that your respectful of people’s privacy and confidentiality, and you’ll even get to help with shopping and meal prep for the people we support. We’re committed to maintaining our high standards while following our policies and keeping everyone safe. If the service vehicle needs cleaning, you’ll handle that too. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to clean and help out!
About You | Mōu
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) Level 4 or a recognised equivalent.Applicants without this requirement will not be considered.
- Experience working in busy health setting and supporting people with mental health needs
- Full drivers license
- You’ll have had your own lived experience of mental health and have completed a peer support training - preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning
- You’re punctual, have high attention to detail, excellent time management and organisation skil
