Te Wero - The Challenge

As a Resource Consents Engineer at Far North District Council, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert engineering and technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will encompass providing guidance and services to the resource consents, building consents, and compliance teams within the Delivery and Operations group.

I ā koe - About You

We're looking for someone with:

Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering.
  • 3+ years' experience in civil, structural, environmental, or subdivision development engineering, with knowledge of the Resource Management Act.
  • Proven development engineering experience, preferably in Local Government.
  • Experience with engineering in natural hazard areas is a plus.
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and workflow process skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and customer facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
