He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Where you will be joining our team at West Wave, where we inspire Aucklanders to be more active at our historical facility. You only get one chance to make a fantastic first impression and our Customer Service Team are the people that make it happen when Aucklanders visit our centre.

In this role, you will support your Team Leader Customer Support and lead day-to-day operations of your team; including performance management, personal development and training, leave management, stock budgets, etc. You will analyse customer feedback and ensure continuous improvement for our customer's satisfaction.

You will ensure the services and programmes operate at a high standard and excel at meeting customer and community needs. This role was created to champion fantastic customer service amongst our front-of-house team. We want our visitors to feel welcome from the moment they walk through our doors - that first encounter is crucial to ensuring that they will come back again.

Our Centre operates a 7-day service, so reliability and commitment to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends, are crucial in this role.

You will have customer service management experience; you will thrive on using your initiative to find improved ways of doing things and the opportunity to implement these. You will have a passion for bringing out the best in your team and enjoy building relationships across a diverse range of internal and external customers.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the demographics and communities of West Auckland
  • Training or experience in conflict resolution
  • Experience in managing debt and fitness memberships
  • A current First Aid Certificate
