About the role

New Shoots Tauriko is coming! We are now looking to recruit our foundation team at our newest beautiful centre in the Bay of Plenty. Opening late September 2025, our new centre is currently going through an extensive renovation on Cambridge Road. We want to see teachers proud to be a part of an amazing team with a culture that just makes everyone feel welcome and included. A focus on growth and intentional teaching is a must as well as fostering a sense of fun and enjoyment in every day.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering high-quality activities and adventures that foster the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of children
  • Observing children's progress and using these observations to create and extend individualised learning
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Collaborating with the wider teaching team to contribute to the overall success of the centre
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously learn and develop your teaching practice


What we're looking for

  • A relevant ECE teaching qualification and current practicing certificate
  • Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0-5 years in an early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging learning experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest quality care and learning
