Mō te tūnga | About the role
Central Police District covers an area that stretches from the North Taranaki Bight, across to Ruapehu, south to Otaki in the west and across to Tararua ranges in the east meaning we have staff and vehicle fleet encompassing a large and diverse geographic.
As the District Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the Districts vehicle fleet is effective, efficient and fully optimised to meet the needs of day to day and long-term policing strategy.
The District Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and decommissioning of District vehicles, ensuring our fleet is operational and deployed to the right places at the right time. The District Fleet manager will ensure appropriate utilisation of our fleet managing key relationships both internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities:
- Previous experience in managing or maintaining a large vehicle fleet (100+)
- Sound time management skills through online systems and databases
- Skills and experience in preparing written reports, charts and tables to clearly articulate issues and trends
- Have the ability to learn new systems and processes as well as developing and growing your own
- Proven ability to work with others, assess a variety of information and reach an evidence-based decision

A current New Zealand Drivers Licence is essential.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $102,808 and $108,894 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
