Are you passionate about health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals? Join our team at Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Leisure Centre and be part of a community-focused environment where you can inspire and support people on their fitness journey!

As a Fitness Team Member, you'll have the chance to experience a variety of roles within our Leisure centres, allowing you to grow your skills and broaden your horizons. Whether you're already a seasoned Fitness Instructor or a student studying towards a fitness career, we want to hear from you! Your duties include:

Provide excellent customer service at the fitness centre reception
Respond to fitness centre enquiries via face-to-face interactions, email, and phone.
Conduct regular floor walks across the fitness centre and weights studio to engage with members and ensure a safe environment
Support other functions of the centre as required

You are a passionate and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fitness environment. With a positive and approachable attitude, you enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life and supporting them on their fitness journey.

If you're passionate about sports and recreation and have a relevant qualification or are working towards one, you're exactly who we're looking for.

Ideal candidates would have:

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse communities
  • Confidence in handling reception duties, including phone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
  • A proactive approach to floor walking, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all members
  • a REPS registration and a current first aid certificate.


Our centre operate seven days a week, so flexibility is key. You'll have the opportunity to work early morning shifts starting at 5:00 am, late shifts until 10:00 pm, as well as weekends and public holidays. It's all about finding the balance that works for you.
