Mo te tūranga | About the Role:

You'll be directly embedded in our Lend & Protect Tribe in a squad of data and analytics engineers, working alongside cross-functional teams supporting the innovation and uplift of customer experiences. Your squad focuses on delivery of data products that will be used by analysts across the organisation to inform business decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Design, build, and maintenance of data products in our on-prem and cloud data warehouses
Monitoring and maintaining complex data ingestion and transformation processes
Collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and improve outcomes
Contributing to automation, simplicity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Being an active member of a wider group of data and analytics engineers, finding opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?

5+ years experience in a similar data or analytics engineering role
Deep skills in either data ingestion and pipelines, and/or ETL/ELT and data warehousing methods
Experience with toolsets such as SQL Server, Wherescape RED, Snowflake and dbt
Exposure to or experience with Streamsets is a big plus
Desire to embrace a changing technological environment and learn new skills
Experience working with agile methods, and in highly collaborative environments
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders
A continuous improvement and continuous learning mindset, driven by research and experimentation.
Ability to identify and manage risks appropriately in your role
