He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
As a Business Support Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Infrastructure Business Unit runs smoothly. You'll provide professional business support across the unit, helping to develop and implement a strong operational framework.
This is a leadership role where you’ll mentor and support a team, ensuring they deliver high-quality business and administrative support across our regional and metro teams. You’ll also be a key safety leader—championing best practices and ensuring we "walk the safety talk."
Your role will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the Business Support team
- Overseeing workload distribution and ensuring business continuity
- Managing key business functions, including financial reporting, procurement, and compliance
- Supporting managers with safety, training, and operational processes
- Ensuring our administrative systems and processes run efficiently
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring
- Leadership experience – 3-5 years in a team leadership or business support role
- Strong administrative and financial skills – experience in procurement, payroll, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills – able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems like SAP or Maximo (desirable)
- Industry knowledge – experience in infrastructure, construction, or roading (desirable)
- Commitment to safety and wellbeing – ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture
You must also hold a valid NZ driver’s licence and be able to travel regionally as required.
