TeTūranga – About the role
Due to Maternity leave and internal movements within the HR Team we have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join on a 10-month FTC. You will work within a future-focused People & Capability team, leading and executing the strategic people plan to foster a high-performing culture and build capability within Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI). You will act as a trusted partner, advisor, and coach to New World Owner Operators, ensuring strong people strategies and engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic business partnering with New World Owner Operators across the North Island
· Partnering with Owner Operators to drive engagement, performance, and culture.
· Leverage strong ER and IR expertise to investigate and resolve employee complaints, ensure compliance, and provide strategic guidance on workplace issues.
· Coach and Support through ER/IR, investigations and conflict resolution with a focus on providing pragmatic advice
· Lead and execute initiatives within the People & Capability strategic plan, delivering simplicity and value to the business.
· Support data-driven decision-making through effective people and performance metrics.
· Champion HR skills in stores and collaborate with other Store HRBP’s to add value to the HR space in stores

He kōrero mōu - About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR within medium to large enterprises, preferably in retail or customer-focused environments. They should be a proactive and adaptable leader with excellent coaching, advisory, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Requirements:
· Proven experience in building positive relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the business.
· Proven experience in strategic HR roles, with expertise in employee relations (ER), industrial relations (IR), and HR advisory.
· Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence senior leaders
· Commercial acumen with an understanding of HR initiatives' return on investment.
· Collaborative yet independent working style, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
· Curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and business improvement.
