About the role
Our Whangarei Park Village in Whangarei is looking for a full time Kitchen Hand to deliver excellent service to our residents. This role would suit someone who is wanting to start a career in the kitchen and enjoys working as part of a team as well as working unsupervised.
Permanent role - 37.5 hours per week from Friday to Tuesday (weekend allowance applies)
Shifts are 6.30 am to 2.30 pm
Duties include:
- Collecting used dishes, running the dishwasher
- General cleaning in the Kitchen
- Assisting with preparation of meals
- Delivering food to our care home (within the property)
Skills and Experience Required:
- Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
- Positive attitude and a strong team player
- Excellent food hygiene skills
- Good time management and communication skills
- A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
