Mō te Tūranga | About the role  
The Customer Tribe works across ASB Bank to drive automation for various initiatives through specialist software. This tribe is a collaborative group of experts passionate about enabling automation and making life easier for ASBers and our customers.
As a Software Specialist in the Customer Tribe, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership. * Develop and support our CRM system.
  • Work autonomously in an Agile environment while continuously improving outcomes for our customers.
  • Be part of smaller squads within the Tribe, working on enterprise-scale integrations while maintaining high service and availability for the CRM system.


Key Responsibilities We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

  • Designing, maintaining, and developing solutions.
  • Continuously improving processes and technologies to ensure scalability and high availability.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Monitoring, alerting, and reporting on environments.
  • Mentoring and uplifting best practices.
  • Working with CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines.

We'll value your proven initiative, technical mastery, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role. You will be an excellent communicator and can articulate trade-offs between technologies and influence and challenge the SDLC.
 Your positivity, all-around nice-person-ness, and excellent communication skills enable you to share your knowledge with others and actively participate in building capability wherever you go. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of C# development experience with both .NET Framework and .NET Standard.
  • Experience with JavaScript and the MVC pattern.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in MS SQL and relational databases.
  • Backend development experience with REST APIs and Microservices. * Strong understanding of Agile principles.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding on standards, code quality, and technical design.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge in monitoring tools like Elastic, Grafana.
  • Financial/banking domain experience.
  • CRM experience. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
