What’s the role about?
Reporting to the Motor Claims Manager, this role is responsible for working with At Fault 3rd parties to agree liability, negotiate settlement in full or through repayment plans. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, experienced in New Zealand Case Law and dealing with Motor Vehicle claims.
You will be based in our stunning new central Auckland offices, where you will join a team that is passionate about providing the best experience. This role has flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
Some of the key responsibilities:
- Working with At Fault 3rd parties to agree liability, negotiate settlement in full or through repayment plans.
- Liaising between 3rd Party Insurers, Brokers and Lawyers
- Preparing cases and representing the company at Disputes Tribunal Hearings
- Negotiating and confirming repayment of debt in a professional and service-oriented manner
- Receive and investigate customer complaints, and escalate as required
About you:
- Minimum two years experience in insurance and recoveries
- Extensive experience in applying New Zealand Case Law in support of liability and/ or quantum disputes
- Understanding of Motor vehicle claims processes
- Strong knowledge of Motor vehicle damage and repair
- Knowledge of Road User Code and Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004
- Knowledge of New Zealand legal system and processes, including experience attending Disputes Tribunal cases
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet timeframes
- Proven customer service skills
- Confident negotiator
