Volunteer Instructional Designer – Help Shape Online Training for the Retirement Villages Sector

Are you an experienced Instructional Designer looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? The Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand (RVA) is a voluntary, nationally-based membership association representing operators, developers and managers of retirement villages throughout New Zealand.

We offer online professional development training to our members and we are in the process of transitioning to a new online training platform. We need your expertise to help move our professional development modules over seamlessly.

About the Role
As a volunteer Instructional Designer, you will:
✅ Assist in migrating existing training modules to our new platform
✅ Ensure courses are engaging, user-friendly, and meet best-practice learning design principles
✅ Make improvements where necessary to enhance learner experience
✅ Work collaboratively with our team to ensure a smooth transition

What We're Looking For
🔹 Experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a related field
🔹 Familiarity with online learning platforms (LMS experience preferred)
🔹 Strong attention to detail and ability to structure content effectively
🔹 A passion for professional development and education
