About the role

Working collaboratively with the Canterbury Operations Team to deliver fit for purpose, timely and accurate tender responses and quotations that supports Connetics' business strategy and contractual obligations. Visiting sites and collaborate with all stakeholders to determine the best value and safest methodology to fulfil customer expectations. This may include capturing site visits, photos and live versus de-energised assessments.

About you

We're looking for someone with experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating, Electrical Engineering, or in a field-based electrical role. You have a high level of attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and you prioritize delivering excellent customer service. While experience with the Canterbury Electrical Distribution Network is advantageous, it's not essential. We value a desire to learn, as you'll be expanding your skills through training with our Estimating team to accurately price projects/jobs.

Skills /Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating, Electrical Engineering, or a field-based/electrical operations role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power construction processes.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience in planning and scheduling resources is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the Orion and Canterbury electrical networks is preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with New Zealand standards and regulations for electrical projects.
  • Possession of a current and valid New Zealand driver's license
