Fleetline are looking for a Design Engineer to join our team at our Henderson Auckland site.

Primarily involving the preparation of working drawings, renders, line drawings, schematics, SOP's and costs, to support Operations and Sales to facilitate standardized and reliable outcomes for the end customer.

Our ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in a similar role, previous experience in the composites industry is essential.

Applicants should also have:

  • Experience in the Automotive industry
  • An understanding of technical drawing.
  • Experience in Solid Works
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Project management experience
  • Eye for detail
  • NZ Drivers Licence.
  • NZ Citizenship or NZ residency
  • Ability to work individually unsupervised, or well in a small team.
  • The ability to accept review, and offer suggestion or opinion.
  • A focus on continual improvement and quality.
  • Have the ability to work on multiple projects and solutions in a high paced environment
  • Have the ability to mentor and educate junior staff members


Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed drawings and installation instructions.
  • Producing calculations, fabrication drawings, and quality control documentation for the install team.
  • Producing list of materials for projects.
  • Detailing for onsite / off site fabrication.
  • Visiting clients to ascertain requirements.
  • Design, analysis, verification, and problem solving.
  • Deliver projects and request to an agreed timeline
  • Lead meetings and provide consultation to internal and external customers
