We are seeking a Resilience Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis, due to internal development within the team. We are open to experienced Business Continuity professionals from various industries. Financial services knowledge is an advantage too.

ASB's Business Resilience Team are critical in ensuring our organisation is prepared for, and capable of responding to, business disruption; by ensuring adequate frameworks, processes, documentation, and systems are in place.

As part of our Line 2 Risk team they support, maintain, and enhance ASB's Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management.

Te Tūranga | The role:

Work with people across the ASB Group to:

  • Achieve fit for purpose business continuity and crisis response planning and exercising.
  • Effectively respond to actual events to support our people, customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to key stakeholders.
  • Perform monitoring and oversight across the BCM lifecycle, including review and challenge of controls, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans, validation, and supplier resilience reviews.


In this role you will use your knowledge and skills to continue to support the strategic direction of the Business Resilience function for the ASB Group.

A collaborative business continuity professional and someone who understands the commercial objectives of a business, with experience in continuous improvement in BCM frameworks in large organisations. You will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of business continuity and/or crisis management processes and related good practice.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Guidance, training, and advisory experience.
