You will ensure that all our customers enjoy an outstanding experience while travelling on our services. You will be responsible for delivering a first-rate food and beverage service and provide a prompt and professional service to our customers. You will thrive on the satisfaction of delivering high customer service and exceeding our customers' expectations.


Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:

You will come from a background in either hospitality or customer service experience and have a strong ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. You will have good level of physical fitness, as this role requires long days working on your feet on a moving train and lifting heavy luggage. You will understand numbers and accurately handle cash and conduct stock takes.


Your positive, can-do attitude will see you go far in this role. You will happily go the extra mile, and nothing will be too much trouble. You will enjoy connecting with our customers, many of whom are tourists from all corners of the world. This role requires a full NZ Driver’s Licence.

  • You enjoy working in a team environment to achieve the common goal of impeccable customer experience
  • You can multitask, problem solve and can do these things on the fly if an issue arises
  • You would like to be part of a team that is crucial to the freight and customer movement around the country - you will also be responsible for customer wellbeing ensuring everyone is kept safe on their journeys
  • You don’t get easily flustered under pressure and can remain calm and focused in potentially stressful situations
  • Don’t want to take your work home with you – at the end of your shift, that is where your working day ends
  • Ability to deliver top quality customer service
