About the role
Our dedicated team at Coastal Villas, based in Paraparaumu is looking for a Gardener to join them in maintaining an attractive community environment for our residents.
This role requires a motivated and reliable person with a 'can-do, will-do' attitude, who can work well in a team as well as with minimal supervision. This is a job that requires someone who is fit and who would enjoy doing a bit of everything, working predominantly in our beautiful established gardens. You will assist the gardening team with the gardening and general upkeep of the grounds.
We would encourage a candidate who possesses knowledge or has experience of, general gardening, spraying, weeding, and/or pruning, to apply. Enthusiastic and fit candidates with a great attitude are also encouraged to apply!
This position is working 24 hours per week Monday - Wednesday 8 - 4:30 pm (maybe potential to increase hours in the future)
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working outdoors and any experience with gardening, school grounds caretaking, landscaping or amenity gardening would be ideal.
- A clean driver's license would be preferrable.
- You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person.
- Excellent spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate manner.
- An industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.
