A local busy berry farm is seeking a full time horticulturist.

Duties include:

• Performing general maintenance as required on tunnel houses irrigation systems, vehicles and equipment.
• Lead picking teams during harvest under the direction of the head grower
• Tractor work
• Crop work
• General farm maintenance.

The following skills would beneficial:

• Horticultural experience;
• Knowledge and experience at building and fixing things with a practical mind-set;
• Experience using farm tools and vehicles;
• Physical fitness, and strong work ethic;
• Flexibility with large hours during summer harvest, most annual leave to be taken between planting and harvest;
• Willingness to learn new things as quickly and effectively as possible;
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and ability to maintain them;
• Leadership skills.
