About The Role

Position: Log Marshalling Supervisor

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor to lead our close-knit and exceptional team based at the Port of Napier. As the Log Marshalling Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include leading the log marshalling team and overseeing the storage and movement of export logs at the port. Given the complexity of the Log Marshalling operation, we require someone who can effectively manage the broad scope of tasks involved.

Status: Full-time position

Location: Napier Port

Key skills and attributes required for this role:

• Excellent knowledge of Port log export operations.
• Ability to work successfully in a high pressure environment.
• Previous experience supervising small teams
• Good thorough verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, extensive knowledge of working in other various software programs.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direction and supervision for the Log Marshalling team from Checkpoint to Vessel operations
• Maximize efficiency and quality of operational tasks within the area of control.
• Safety of staff and personnel associated with the Napier operation always comes first.

Who we're after:

We are seeking candidates who have supervising experience and can manage teams. You need to be enthusiastic and have that 'lead from the front' mentality. Having prior experience within a similar role or industry is great, however this is not essential as Qube Ports provides full comprehensive training and we are committed to the ongoing training and development of our people.
